Common problems & fixes
- Black previewSettings → Privacy → Camera, allow apps and your browser. Close Teams/Zoom which may hold the camera.
- Low resolutionSome webcams default low — pick a higher mode in the camera’s own software.
- Browser can’t access cameraSystem Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera, enable your browser, then reload.
- Green light but no imageQuit other apps using the camera; only one app can capture at a time.
- No device foundCheck the device exists (ls /dev/video*) and your user is in the video group.
