Common problems & fixes
- Stuck at 60 HzSettings → Display → Advanced display, and raise the refresh rate to your panel's max.
- Reading fluctuatesDisable VRR/G-Sync while measuring, or close GPU-heavy apps.
- Shows 60 on a ProMotion displayProMotion is variable (up to 120 Hz). It drops to 60 when content is static — interact to push it higher.
- Wrong rateSet the mode with xrandr --rate, and confirm the compositor isn't capping it.
